Cobham Explorer 727 Vehicular BGAN Satellite Terminal

The EXPLORER 727 is a comprehensive mobile communications hub, roof-mounted and simple to use. On-the-move, its able to deliver high-speed connectivity for broadband data and voice simultaneously, with standard IP speeds of up to 492 Kbps. Its integrated three-piece design includes a durable roof mounted antenna, resistant to dust and water (ingress rating of IP56), a transceiver and an IP handset, all of which weigh just 8.5 kg (18.7 lbs), making it easy to ship and deploy anywhere. The broadband capabilities enable you to run a wide-range of IP-based applications on-the-move and is built for people who need to stay connected en-route, no matter what comes their way. At speeds of up to 200 km/h, or over rough terrain, the EXPLORER 727 stays connected, with streaming IP speeds of 32, 64, 128 and 256 Kbps and high-quality voice. At-pause, the EXPLORER 727 can step things up to the next level, becoming Class 1 terminal when stationary. This makes it the only vehicular BGAN terminal able to use BGAN X-Stream, INMARSAT’s premium on-demand streaming service, reaching speeds in excess of 384 Kbps at-pause. With the EXPLORER 727, you are equipped for HD video and audio as well as other data-intensive IP-based applications wherever you go, and your on-the-move capabilities are second to none.

High-speed broadband on-the-Move

The antenna automatically tracks satellite positions enabling high-speed connectivity while on-the-move. Simultaneous 432 kbps data and phone calls – even at speeds in excess of 200 km/h.

Mobile Communication

Place the antenna on the roof of your vehicle to turn it into a complete mobile communication hub. Provides access to the internet and phone networks instantly.

Live streaming - or store-and-forward

Facilitates both live streaming and store-andforward and enables direct transmissions from the hot spots of the world. Utilize the highest streaming rates available on BGAN with BGAN X-Stream when the terminal is standing still (on-the-pause).
